It changes astrological signs every 2.5 days. Because the Moon is well within the gravitational field of the Earth, her interaction with us and her elliptical orbit affects weather around the world.
The Moon not only governs the ebb and flow of the tides, but also the currents of emotions affecting everyone. The Moon shows how a person reacts and feels. During the Moon’s monthly journey, her appearance changes daily as she reflects the Sun’s light back to us. When we explore the phases of the Moon, we really explore the relationship between the Sun and the Moon as seen and experienced from Earth and in our bodies.
At the New Moon, it is a time of endings and new beginnings. It is also a time for generating ideas, sowing seeds and setting intentions. We will explore the meaning of the New Moon in your own natal chart and how you can work with its energies during its transit through the signs. About Sarah:
Sarah Hopkins is a lifelong Capital District native. She is presently a practicing Astrological Consultant in Saratoga Springs, NY and Lenox, MA at Canyon Ranch. Sarah has practiced Astrology since the early 80’s. She studies at the advanced level through the Institute of Astrology and Metaphysics. She had the privilege of studying under Ivy M. Goldstein-Jacobson, receiving a Certificate of Merit in 1985. Sarah has written articles for Saratoga Summer Magazine, taught classes at Saratoga Adult Education, and is a previous faculty member of American Federation of Astrologers.
Sarah is a consulting Astrologer working with individuals, families and businesses. She has experience as a paraconsultant working on murder and missing person cases.
